This proposed feature for the Toronto Zoo app gives the user the ability to quickly and effectively report a missing person within the park. The feature would allow the user to upload a photo of the missing person including a description of where they last saw them. They could also select whether this alert goes out to guests and employees, or just to employees.
Once published, the alert would send a push notification to the selected parties, and show a pin on the map. If the user taps on the alert icon, it would give them details about the emergency, and provide the ability to chat back and forth with the person who created the alert. Within this screen, the user would also see a smaller version of the map with a pin indicating the last known location of the missing person. The staff or parent could cancel a report at any time.
